Diane Hendricks — Chair, ABC Supply; MAGA Inc. Mega-Donor
Category: Private citizen; corporate owner and political donor (financial enabler) Role: Co-founder, owner and chair of ABC Supply Co., Inc. (Beloit, Wisconsin) and owner of Hendricks Holding Co.; one of the largest individual donors to MAGA Inc., the principal pro-Trump super PAC Priority: P2 (monitoring — see Basis for Inclusion; inclusion rests on documented scale giving, and no adverse act beyond lawful giving is documented)
Role
Diane Hendricks co-founded ABC Supply with her late husband, Ken Hendricks, in 1982, and owns and chairs the company, which describes itself as the largest U.S. wholesale distributor of roofing, siding, windows and related building products (Newsweek, April 3, 2025). She matters for accountability tracking because of the documented scale of her giving to the Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc. FEC records show $30 million from her in 2026 alone: $25 million on March 16, which supplied 70 percent of the $35.6 million the PAC raised that month, and another $5 million on September 18 (FEC filings [2], [13]). Counting a $2 million gift in December 2024, she has given MAGA Inc. $32 million since the 2024 election. Five weeks before the March gift, the White House named her to the ten-member presidential delegation to the 2026 Winter Olympics closing ceremony. In the same 2026 cycle she became one of the three billionaires financing most of the Wisconsin Republican Party’s midterm campaign (The Badger Project, October 1, 2026).
Background
ABC Supply reports about $20 billion in annual revenue, more than 1,000 locations in the United States and Canada and over 20,000 employees, with subsidiaries including L&W Supply (Newsweek, April 3, 2025). Forbes puts Hendricks’s net worth at nearly $22 billion and has called her the richest self-made woman in the world; she is described as the richest person in Wisconsin (The Badger Project, July 15 and October 1, 2026; The Lever, April 21, 2026). FEC records for her giving begin in 1992 (The Badger Project).
Her political profile in Wisconsin predates Trump. In January 2011, at ABC Supply’s Beloit headquarters, documentary footage captured her asking newly elected Gov. Scott Walker whether he could make Wisconsin “a completely red state, and work on these unions, and become a right-to-work” state; Walker answered that the “first step” would be to “divide and conquer” through his budget-repair bill. The clip became public in May 2012, weeks before Walker’s recall election (CNBC/Associated Press, May 11, 2012). The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported at the time that she had given Walker’s campaign $510,000, making her his largest single donor (as cited by NBC News, 2012). The exchange is speech and is recorded here only as context. She later gave $5 million to Unintimidated PAC, the super PAC that spent $2.2 million supporting Walker’s 2016 presidential run (FEC, June 30, 2015 [12], [14]).
She served on the Trump campaign’s economic advisory council in 2016 (E&E News, December 6, 2018; Bloomberg, August 11, 2016) and spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on July 18, 2024, where the program listed her as “an everyday American” (Rolling Stone, July 18, 2024). Her holding company gave $5 million to the convention’s host committee (FEC [12]).
FEC giving record, 2016–2026
Totals are FEC-itemized contributions reported by recipient committees under her name in Wisconsin, retrieved from the OpenFEC API on October 24, 2026. Memo lines (joint-fundraising attributions and transfers that repeat money already counted) are excluded. State-level giving, reported to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, is not included. Name matching may pick up a few small entries from other Wisconsin residents of the same name; they do not move the totals.
| Cycle | Itemized total | Largest recipients |
|---|---|---|
| 2016 | $18.3 million | Reform America Fund $8.06M; Unintimidated PAC $5M; Freedom Partners Action Fund $4M; Trump Victory $212,700 |
| 2018 | $4.5 million | Wisconsin Next PAC $3.2M; RNC $678,000 |
| 2020 | $8.6 million | America First Action $4M; Trump Victory $1.18M; Preserve America PAC $1M; Future45 $500,000 |
| 2022 | $25.7 million | Wisconsin Truth PAC $19M; Club for Growth Action $4.5M; RNC $730,000; Make America Great Again, Again! Inc. $450,000 |
| 2024 | $34.1 million | Make America Great Again Inc. $15M; Turnout for America $11M; MAGA Inc. $2M; Fix Washington PAC $1.78M; Trump 47 Committee $844,600 |
| 2026 | $31.2 million (to date) | MAGA Inc. $30M; RNC $813,000; Defend Our Majority $182,000; NRSC Victory $144,300 |
The 2026 figure combines $26.2 million in processed FEC data and the $5 million September MAGA Inc. contribution, which so far appears only in MAGA Inc.’s raw e-filing [13]. Schedule E independent-expenditure data shows what several of these super PACs did with the money: Wisconsin Truth PAC spent $19.6 million opposing Mandela Barnes and $9.2 million supporting Sen. Ron Johnson in 2022; Wisconsin Next PAC spent $2.2 million opposing Sen. Tammy Baldwin and $1.4 million supporting Leah Vukmir in 2018; Fix Washington PAC spent $15.7 million opposing Baldwin in 2024 (FEC Schedule E [14]).
Basis for Inclusion Subject classification: Private Citizen. Hendricks has never held elected office or a Senate-confirmed post. Her 2016 campaign advisory-council seat and her February 2026 presidential-delegation seat are informal or ceremonial designations, not Senate-confirmed offices, so the Non-Speech Anchor Test applies in full. Non-Speech Anchor met: Anchor C (Documented Significant Financial Enablement), scale-giving reading, editorial decision 2026-10-15. Under Peter’s decision of October 15, 2026, Anchor C is met by documented giving of $10 million or more to the Trump campaign, Trump-aligned committees or super PACs. Hendricks’s single March 16, 2026 contribution of $25 million to MAGA Inc. (FEC committee C00892471) clears that threshold on its own. FEC-itemized giving to Trump-branded or pro-Trump committees since 2016 totals at least $66.2 million: MAGA Inc. $32 million (December 2024, March 2026, September 2026); Make America Great Again Inc. $15 million (2024 cycle); Turnout for America $11 million (2024; its independent expenditures supported Trump and opposed Kamala Harris); America First Action $4 million (2020); Trump Victory $1.39 million (2016 and 2020 cycles); Preserve America PAC $1 million (2020; its independent expenditures opposed Joe Biden); Trump 47 Committee $844,600 (2024); Future45 $500,000 (2020); and Make America Great Again, Again! Inc. $450,000 (2022). The $8.06 million she gave Reform America Fund in 2016, which opposed Hillary Clinton and Russ Feingold, is not counted in that total. Evidence basis: FEC primary records retrieved from the OpenFEC API on October 24, 2026: Schedule A itemized receipts for MAGA Inc. and the other committees named above (March 2026 gift at image 202604209866614095, in the April Monthly report beginning at image 202604209866614089, the image The Lever linked); MAGA Inc.’s October Monthly 2026 e-filing, file 2033718, for the September gift; and Schedule E independent-expenditure totals for each super PAC. Corroborating reporting: The Lever, April 21, 2026; The Badger Project, July 15, 2026 (republished by the Wisconsin Examiner, July 20, 2026); Reuters, October 21, 2026; Rolling Stone, July 18, 2024. The anchor now rests on the filings themselves, not reporting of them. Strip Test: Removing her convention speech, the 2011 Walker exchange and all public statements leaves FEC-reported contributions, a White House delegation announcement and a disclosed gift to a sitting cabinet official’s legal defense fund. The contributions alone carry the anchor. Result: passes under the scale-giving reading. Under the literal Anchor C text (money earmarked for and applied to specific harmful conduct) it would not pass, which is why the October 14, 2026 pass failed it; this profile exists because of the 2026-10-15 editorial decision and should be re-reviewed if that decision changes. Anchor B note: Hendricks is owner and chair of ABC Supply, not a board member of an organization with documented harmful conduct. The batch-2 conflict-of-interest reading for corporate board members (Althaus/Ambani precedent, still awaiting Peter’s confirmation) is not relied on here; no documented conflict act of her own was found. What is NOT the basis for inclusion: This individual’s political positions, expressed opinions, convention speech, political affiliation and support for political candidates or movements are NOT the basis for inclusion in this profile. Lawful political giving below the scale threshold, and her Wisconsin state-party giving, are not the basis either. Protected speech, including radical or extreme speech, does not independently justify accountability documentation under Citizen Analyst’s editorial standards. Protected speech documented in this profile: [A] “Statements and speech documented in this profile are included for factual and historical context only. They are protected under the First Amendment and do not independently form the basis for inclusion.” Scope limit: Per the private-citizen proportionality rules, this profile is limited to the anchor giving and its direct context: Trump-aligned committees, her other 2026-cycle political giving (federal and Wisconsin), official designations, and ABC Supply’s federal policy exposure. It includes no home address, personal photographs or family detail beyond the public business record.
Democratic Malice Assessment
Designation: None
Ideology vs. Malice determination: This subject’s documented actions are lawful political contributions to registered federal and state committees, disclosed through FEC and state reporting, and participation in campaign and ceremonial roles. Contributing to a super PAC or a state party is electoral activity pursued through legitimate, publicly disclosed channels. The scale of the giving and its timing relative to her White House delegation seat raise access and influence questions that this profile documents, but no source links the giving to the subversion of any democratic mechanism, to a specific official act, or to a benefit for ABC Supply (The Lever found none).
Framework note: The Democratic Malice Assessment evaluates subversion of democratic mechanisms themselves, not policy disagreement. Holding conservative, populist, or nationalist policy positions — even extreme ones — within constitutional process is ideology, not malice. Large lawful donations fall in the safe harbor for “electoral wins achieved through legitimate campaigning.”
Framework disclosure: This Democratic Malice Assessment applies a published analytical framework to documented public actions. All factual predicates are cited to primary or secondary sources. This assessment is subject to update as new evidence emerges or prior evidence is corrected.

Documented Actions
1. $25 million contribution to MAGA Inc. (March 16, 2026)
SourceFEC, MAGA Inc. April Monthly 2026 [2]; FEC Schedule A [12]; The Lever, “First Came Italy. Then Came $25 Million,” April 21, 2026 [1]; The Badger Project, July 15, 2026 [3]; Tribune News Service via The Brunswick News [5].Evidence: MAGA Inc.’s April Monthly report itemizes a $25,000,000 contribution dated March 16, 2026 from “Hendricks, Diane” of Afton, Wisconsin, entity type individual, employer Hendricks Holding Co. Inc. (FEC image 202604209866614095). The contributor of record is Hendricks herself, not her holding company; the October 14, 2026 pass misread the employer field as the contributor. The report shows $35,603,486 in total receipts for March, so her gift supplied 70.2 percent of the month’s money, consistent with The Lever’s “more than 70 percent.” The Badger Project, citing FEC data, called it her largest recorded political donation. FEC data places her alongside Miriam Adelson, who gave $25 million on May 5, 2026, as the source of the PAC’s largest single contributions of 2026; Jeff Yass gave $15 million in March 2025. MAGA Inc. reported $382.4 million in cash on hand at the end of May 2026 (FEC), the figure The Badger Project reported as about $382 million. The Brennan Center found that 96 percent of the PAC’s funds came from donors giving $1 million or more.

2. A further $5 million to MAGA Inc. (September 18, 2026)
SourceFEC, MAGA Inc. Inc. The filing lists her year-to-date aggregate to the PAC as $30,000,000. The PAC reported $23,988,303 in total September receipts, so her gift was about 21 percent of the month. Reuters, reviewing the same filings, reported that she and Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman each gave $5 million in September, behind an $8 million gift from Steve Wynn, as MAGA Inc. began spending about $277 million in the final weeks of the midterm campaign. MAGA Inc. entered September with $415.8 million in cash on hand and ended it with $238.7 million (FEC). As of October 24, the contribution appears in the FEC’s raw e-filing data and not yet in its processed data; raw entries can change on amendment. MAGA Inc.’s pre-general report (October 1–14) lists no further Hendricks contribution.

3. Named to the presidential delegation to the 2026 Winter Olympics closing ceremony (February 11, 2026)
SourceWisPolitics, White House release, “President Trump Announces Presidential Delegation to Milan, Italy to Attend the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games,” February 11, 2026 [6]; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel via Yahoo News, “This Wisconsin billionaire, a major GOP donor, joins U.S. Olympic delegation,” February 2026 [7]; The Lever [1]; FEC [12].Evidence: On February 11, 2026, the White House announced a ten-member presidential delegation to the February 22 closing ceremony of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, led by Education Secretary Linda McMahon and including Ambassador Tilman Fertitta. Hendricks was one of the ten. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the appointment and noted that she had given at least $15 million to support Trump’s 2024 campaign, according to FEC records; FEC data confirms $15 million to Make America Great Again Inc. in that cycle (Action 5). The Lever reported that her $25 million MAGA Inc. contribution followed “just weeks after” the appointment; FEC data dates it March 16, 33 days after the announcement. The designation is ceremonial: no source describes duties beyond attending, and The Lever identified no policy benefit or official action connected to it. The sequence is documented here as context for the giving, not as evidence of an exchange.
Pattern: Donor access to official designations
4. 2026 Wisconsin state-party and federal party giving (2025–2026)
Evidence: Wisconsin limits what individuals give candidates — $20,000 per cycle to a statewide candidate, $1,000 to an Assembly candidate, $2,000 to a state Senate candidate — but places no limit on what parties can receive from donors or pass on to candidates. The Badger Project, reviewing state reports, found that from January to September 2026 Hendricks gave the Republican Party of Wisconsin about $20 million, while Elizabeth and Richard Uihlein gave nearly $25 million and nearly $16 million. Wisconsin Public Radio reported that in the July–September period she gave the party $5.6 million of the more than $28 million it raised, and that about $24 million of GOP gubernatorial nominee Tom Tiffany’s money in that period came directly from the party. By September 23 the party had given Tiffany’s campaign nearly $35 million of the roughly $42 million he had raised; Hendricks also gave Tiffany the $20,000 individual maximum directly (The Badger Project, October 13, 2026).
She also funded the GOP’s state legislative campaign arms. The Republican Assembly Campaign Committee raised $6.17 million from July 1 to September 23, 2026, of which $5.5 million came from Hendricks, and the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate raised $2.28 million, of which she gave $1.75 million. A WisPolitics analysis found that she and the Uihleins had given more than $73 million to Republican committees and candidates in 2026, and that no Democratic donor came close (Wisconsin Examiner, October 7, 2026). These state figures come from news reports of Wisconsin Ethics Commission filings; the filings themselves were not read in this pass.
SourceThe Badger Project, October 1, 2026 [17]; The Badger Project, October 13, 2026 [18]; WPR [19]; Wisconsin Examiner, October 7, 2026 [20]; FEC Schedule A [12].At the federal level, FEC data shows 2025–2026 contributions of $813,000 to the Republican National Committee across its headquarters, legal-proceedings and convention accounts (August 25, 2025 and July 9, 2026), $182,000 to Defend Our Majority (the NRCC’s joint fundraising committee), $144,300 to NRSC Victory, and smaller sums to the victory funds and campaigns of Wisconsin Republican House members Derrick Van Orden, Bryan Steil, Scott Fitzgerald, Glenn Grothman and Tony Wied.
Pattern: Context — 2026-cycle giving beyond the anchor (lawful; not a basis for inclusion)
5. 2024-cycle pro-Trump super PAC giving and convention role (2023–2024)

She gave Make America Great Again Inc. (committee C00825851), Trump’s principal super PAC of that cycle, $5 million on September 7, 2023 and $10 million on August 23, 2024, for $15 million. Rolling Stone’s “$5 million” (July 2024) is the first gift, The Badger Project’s “$10 million” is the second, and the Journal Sentinel’s “at least $15 million” is both. She also gave $11 million to Turnout for America (committee C00883520), a super PAC formed in July 2024: $5 million on August 23, $5 million on October 4 and $1 million on October 24, 2024; those contributions list ABC Supply as her employer. Turnout for America’s FEC independent-expenditure reports show spending only for Trump and against Kamala Harris — about $1.05 million coded as supporting Trump and $1.05 million as opposing Harris, mostly literature and door hangers. She gave $844,600 to the Trump 47 Committee, a Trump joint fundraising committee, on April 25, 2024, and $2 million to the newly formed MAGA Inc. on December 9, 2024, after the election. Hendricks Holding Co. Inc., as an organization, gave $5 million to the Milwaukee 2024 host committee for the Republican National Convention on May 8, 2024. On July 18, 2024 she spoke at that convention; her remarks are protected speech and are recorded only as context.
Pattern: Sustained cross-cycle financing of pro-Trump vehicles
6. 2016, 2020 and 2022 pro-Trump committee giving (2015–2022)
SourceFEC Schedule A [12]; FEC Schedule E [14]; Rolling Stone [8].Evidence: FEC records show $8,061,900 to the Reform America Fund in September and October 2016 (Rolling Stone reported $8 million). The super PAC’s FEC independent-expenditure reports show $4.06 million spent opposing Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine and $3.21 million opposing Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin; Rolling Stone’s figure of $3.5 million against Clinton does not match the FEC total and is superseded here. She gave $1,388,300 to Trump Victory, the joint fundraising committee of the Trump campaign and the RNC: $212,700 in the 2016 cycle and $1,175,600 in the 2020 cycle (Rolling Stone reported $1.4 million). In 2020 she gave $4 million to America First Action, the main pro-Trump super PAC of that cycle (two $2 million gifts, August 6 and September 4), $1 million to Preserve America PAC, whose $103 million in independent expenditures all opposed Joe Biden, and $500,000 to Future45, which spent for Trump and against Biden. In 2022 she gave $450,000 to Make America Great Again, Again! Inc., whose largest independent expenditures supported Senate candidates Herschel Walker and Adam Laxalt.
Pattern: Sustained cross-cycle financing of pro-Trump vehicles
7. Trump campaign economic advisory council (August 2016)
SourceBloomberg, “Trump Adds Hendricks, Scaramucci as Economic Policy Advisers,” August 11, 2016 [9]; E&E News [10].Evidence: In August 2016 the Trump campaign added Hendricks to its economic policy advisory team. Bloomberg reported the appointment, and E&E News later described her as an economic adviser to the 2016 campaign. This is an unpaid campaign role, not a government office.
Pattern: Donor-to-adviser access
8. $50,000 to the legal defense fund of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt (2018)
SourceE&E News by POLITICO, Kevin Bogardus, “Pruitt discloses billionaire defense fund donor,” December 6, 2018 [10].Evidence: Scott Pruitt’s final financial disclosure (termination report, released by EPA on December 6, 2018) listed Hendricks as the only disclosed donor to the legal defense fund set up while he faced ethics investigations as EPA Administrator, a Senate-confirmed post. Her gift was $50,000. Justina Fugh, a senior EPA ethics official, said Pruitt had not sought ethics advice before accepting it, and EPA ethics officials learned of it only from the termination report. The fund’s trustee, Cleta Mitchell, had been told by the Office of Government Ethics that donations over $390 received while Pruitt was an employee had to be reported. E&E News did not report any finding that the gift itself broke a rule. The act documented here is Hendricks’s: a direct payment benefiting a sitting cabinet-level official under investigation.
Pattern: Direct financial support of a sitting official facing ethics inquiries
9. ABC Supply’s federal tariff exposure (2025)
SourceNewsweek, Nick Mordowanec, article on Trump tariffs and wholesale-distributor donors, April 3, 2025 [11]; Rolling Stone [8].Evidence: In March 2025 ABC Supply told customers that the U.S.–Canada trade conflict could change “pricing, availability, and lead times.” On March 18, 2025 it said rising raw-material costs and shifting tariffs were creating industry challenges and that it would pass supplier price increases through to customers. Rolling Stone, citing ProPublica, reported that Hendricks took a $97 million deduction under the 2017 pass-through provision in its first year, on $502 million of income, saving about $36 million in taxes. These records show that federal trade and tax policy bears directly on her business. They are not evidence that any contribution bought a policy outcome; no source reviewed documents such an exchange.
Pattern: Donor policy exposure (conflict-of-interest context)
Pattern Analysis
Cross-References
Hendricks’s record is one of escalating scale. FEC data runs from $8 million against Hillary Clinton and Russ Feingold in 2016, through $4 million to America First Action in 2020 and $19 million to a Wisconsin Senate super PAC in 2022, to $26 million for pro-Trump super PACs in 2024 and $30 million to MAGA Inc. in 2026 — with two non-elected White House-adjacent designations along the way (the 2016 advisory council and the 2026 delegation). In 2026 she is financing both ends of the ballot: Trump’s national super PAC and, through the uncapped party channel, the Wisconsin Republican Party’s governor and legislative campaigns. Her giving sits alongside that of Miriam Adelson — Political Accountability Profile and Jeff Yass — Individual Accountability Profile in MAGA Inc.’s top tier, and the delegation she joined was led by Linda McMahon – Secretary of Education. Vehicle context: Trump-Aligned PACs and Super PACs and Trump Mega-Donors and Funder Network.

Severity Assessment
Immediate harm: Low. No documented direct harm to any person or process; the conduct is lawful, disclosed giving. Democratic erosion: Moderate. Concentrated nine-figure super PAC funding of one political figure’s vehicle, sitting next to an official designation, is the access-and-influence pattern that campaign-finance disclosure exists to expose. In Wisconsin, three donors supplying most of a state party’s money through a no-limit channel raises the same concentration question at the state level. Authoritarian marker: None documented. The pattern is donor access (financing → official designation); no subversion act is attributed to her.
Accountability Status
Current status: Active (private businesswoman and political donor; no government role)
Legal exposure:
- None identified. Every documented contribution is a disclosed gift to a registered committee, and super PAC contributions have no federal limit after Citizens United v. FEC (2010) and SpeechNow.org v. FEC (2010). Wisconsin places no cap on contributions to political parties. The FEC record lists Hendricks herself as the contributor of every MAGA Inc. gift, with Hendricks Holding Co. as her employer, so the contribution-in-the-name-of-another question (52 U.S.C. § 30122) that the prior pass raised does not arise on the record.
- The 2018 Pruitt legal-defense gift raised reporting questions for the recipient under OGE rules, not legal exposure for the donor.
Congressional oversight:
- House Administration Committee and Senate Rules and Administration Committee (FEC and campaign-finance jurisdiction)
- House Oversight and Government Reform Committee (donor access to official delegations and White House designations)
Public accountability:
- The Badger Project, Wisconsin Examiner and Wisconsin Public Radio (FEC- and state-filing reporting on her giving); The Lever (timing of the delegation seat and the gift)
- Brennan Center for Justice (MAGA Inc. donor concentration analysis); OpenSecrets (donor tracking)
- Litigation: the CourtListener name search (filed after January 20, 2025) returned 0 hits in the October 14, 2026 pass; not re-run in this pass. RECAP mirrors PACER only partially, so this is unverified, not “no litigation.”

- Resolved 2026-10-24 (FEC): the March 2026 contributor of record (Hendricks individually, March 16, 2026); the 2024 breakdown ($15 million to Make America Great Again Inc., $11 million to Turnout for America — the Brennan Center stub figures are confirmed); her running MAGA Inc. total ($32 million since December 2024, which also explains the $27 million figure attributed to the Wall Street Journal before the September gift); Turnout for America’s spending (pro-Trump/anti-Harris independent expenditures).
- Wisconsin state filings. The 2026 state-party and legislative-committee figures in Action 4 come from news reports. Read the Wisconsin Ethics Commission (CFIS) filings for the Republican Party of Wisconsin, the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee and the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate, including the final pre-election report due October 26, 2026.
[NEEDS VERIFICATION — 2026-10-24] - Wisconsin Republican Party giving, 2020 cycle: the October 14, 2026 pass recorded $2.4 million to the Republican Party of Wisconsin in the 2020 cycle (The Badger Project). The FEC shows only a $10,000 joint-fundraising attribution to the party’s federal account that cycle, so any larger sum went to its state account, which is reported to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission.
[NEEDS VERIFICATION — 2026-10-24] - Wisconsin footprint (stub: adviser to Republican Wisconsin governors; funder of state judicial, gubernatorial and right-to-work efforts). The 2011 Walker exchange and the $510,000 Walker figure are now sourced (Background). The adviser role and any judicial-race or right-to-work funding remain unsourced.
[NEEDS VERIFICATION — 2026-10-24] - Policy-area activity of Hendricks-funded groups (stub: outside groups she funds have been active on tariffs, construction labor/immigration enforcement, corporate tax and disaster spending). No source was attached in the stub.
[NEEDS VERIFICATION — 2026-10-24] - September 2026 gift in processed data. Re-check that the $5 million September 18 contribution survives FEC processing unamended, and check MAGA Inc.’s post-general report (due December 3, 2026) for further gifts.
Truth and Reconciliation Considerations
Investigation priorities
- Extend the FEC reconciliation (now complete for 2016–2026 federal giving) to state-level giving: Wisconsin Ethics Commission records for Hendricks and Hendricks Holding Co., 2010–2026, including the 2012 recall cycle.
- Document how the February 2026 delegation seat was decided: who proposed her name, and whether any fundraising contact took place between the February 11 announcement and the March 16 gift.
- Determine whether ABC Supply or Hendricks Holding Co. sought or received any tariff exclusion, federal contract or regulatory action in 2025–2026 (USAspending.gov, Commerce exclusion dockets).
- Determine whether the 2018 Pruitt legal-defense gift was solicited by the trustee, and whether Hendricks had matters before EPA at the time.
Testimony value
Her testimony could show whether her giving was solicited with specific promises of access (the 2016 advisory seat, the 2026 delegation), and who in the campaign or White House handled those requests. It could also show whether she made any request on tariffs or tax treatment affecting ABC Supply after a contribution. As a private citizen, she could be compelled only within a lawful inquiry that has jurisdiction over campaign finance or the conduct of officials.
Institutional reform
- Require disclosure of political-contribution history for private citizens named to presidential delegations and similar honorary designations.
- Require super PACs to disclose contributions of $1 million or more within 48 hours, not on monthly or semiannual schedules. Hendricks’s September 18, 2026 gift was not public until October 20.
- Require any legal defense fund for a Senate-confirmed official to pre-clear donors with the agency ethics office and OGE, and bar donors with business before the agency.
- Require “donor beneficial owner” disclosure when a closely held holding company, rather than the individual, is the contributor of record.
- At the state level, cap contributions to political parties, so that party committees cannot serve as an unlimited pass-through around candidate contribution limits.
